The carburetor is an important component of the motorcycle fuel supply system, located between the air filter and the engine air intake. Generally, motorcycle engines adopt flat suction type in the direction of intake airflow, plunger type in throttle valve, and float chamber carburetor. The carburetor structure is mainly composed of two parts: a float chamber and a mixing chamber. The float chamber is located under the carburetor, and the oil pipe is opened to the fuel tank through the throttle switch, and the needle valve on the float is passed to maintain a certain height of the oil surface in the float chamber to stabilize the oil supply pressure. The function of the mixing chamber is to mix gasoline evaporation atomization with air, so that the engine can get the required mixture under various loads and speeds. It is composed of throttling valve, fuel injection needle, fuel injection pipe and gas, oil passage, etc.
Through the rotation of the motorcycle throttle handle, the throttle wire lanyard is driven to control the up and down movement of the throttle valve and the fuel injection needle, and the section of the intake pipe and the fuel supply are changed to meet the needs of the mixture at different speeds and loads. An idle adjustment screw is installed on the side of the carburetor to adjust the idle speed. Idle stop screws are used to prevent the throttle valve from turning and to adjust the minimum opening of the throttle. There is a return spring above the throttle valve that closes when the throttle handlebar does not turn.
